Mumps

If you have mumps, I would advise against ice packs. Cold constricts and congeals blood flow. When you are sick you need your white cells and neutrophils to get to site of sickness and start the healing process as quickly as possible so constricting these cells is silly. If you disagree, that’s fine too.

Do not take ibuprofen or acetaminophen (of course you can if you want to), but take ginger powder tea.

Sip on warm or room temperature water throughout the day with a slice of lemon, lime, watermelon or cucumber.

Eat plenty of bone broths and soups as they are easy on digestive function and will not be using too much energy to divest food. Reserve energy for healing.
