Warm breakfasts strengthen your organs
Our body clock, or circadian rhythm, is the internal system that regulates energy throughout the body in 2 hour organ and meridian specific intervals. From 7am - 9am the organ in the spotlight is the Stomach, followed by the Spleen at 9am-11am. These organ systems require proper nourishment to keep the digestive fire burning, which supports the immune system and the functioning of the entire body. The Spleen also helps to build Blood. In TICM, it is said that a warming breakfast strengthens your organs: Builds warm (Yang) energy Protection of the digestion Better nutrient intake Longer feeling of satiation Strengthening of the immune system Faster preparation than expected Try congee, oatmeal (not instant), porridge, baked apples and pears with walnuts, and baked sweet potatoes. A couple days a week you can do eggs if they agree with you.
