Artichokes



Time to show our Heart some tender love and care and artichokes is great for this.


It will seem like a lot of work to prepare but the end results in eating it and the health benefits are amazing and will make it all worthwhile.


Grilled artichokes

Cut 1.5 inch tips off and peel skin of stem, cut artichokes to half and scrap off furry stuff at center. Brush lemon juice on all exposed area to keep artichokes fresh tasting.


Place artichokes in steamer, at medium high for 45-1 hour, or until they are nice and tender but not overly soft or falling apart.


Prepare hot grilling pan, brush steamed artichokes with grape seed oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Gill for 6-8 min.
