Ginger and Stomach: Ginger post again and believe it is the most important food we can consume because of its effect on our Stomach. TICM has been saying for thousands of years that all disease starts in the Spleen and Stomach. Gingerol, which is the ingredient responsible for ginger's pungent scent and taste, is a phytochemical which has the ability to prevent nausea and vomiting. Ginger is an antiparasitic and antimicrobial. In TICM, it provides the strongest Yang (warm) essence that we are so very depleted from foods rich in cold beverages, salads, raw foods and a busy lifestyle.


Walnut, cauliflower and Brain: Walnuts and cauliflower are a superfoods. Walnuts are dubbed brain food since they have a very high content of DHA, a type of Omega-3 fatty acid, which helps support brain function. Among other things, DHA has been shown to protect brain health in newborns, improve cognitive performance in adults, and prevent or ameliorate age-related cognitive decline. In TICM, the healing essence of walnuts supports Kidney Qi (energy), which helps support Jing. The Brain contains the Sea of Marrow. Jing produces marrow and marrow is the material foundation for the central nervous system and is what makes up the brain.
