Lemon peels

Writer: Jahanara MonafJahanara Monaf

Lemon and pineapple peels are the most natural and potent hydroxychloroquinine. Why would anyone want to take the ‘safe’ synthetic hydroxychloroquinine is beyond me as it is classified as a poison like with all drugs plus it leads to eye damage.

Lemon peels contain anywhere from 5-10 times the amount of vitamins than lemon juice. Lemons contain high amounts of vitamin C, quinine, minerals, fibre, antioxidants, and potassium. The peel contains important enzymes that help with digestion.

Bonus tip: lemon peels can be added to laundry to whiten clothing and you can distill it in white vinegar to make a natural, non-toxic household cleaner.

In TICM, lemon peels and most citrus peels helps to move vital energy (Qi) stagnation in the Spleen and relieve poor appetite. It is ingested to help digestion, relieve gas, bloating, dissolve phlegm and mucous. Its nature is sour, pungent, warm and slightly bitter entering the Stomach and Spleen and is fantastic for the respiratory system.

So do start eating the peels for quinine. Do not throw out the pulp away as I am going to give you a recipe for an immune booster next.
